In depth

Verdict

A wide open handicap chase here and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Curtins Hill, Ile de Paris and Gumley Gale and the narrow vote is given to Ile de Paris. The selection had every chance until making a mistake and being pulled up behind Beau Supreme last time out prior to that he had been in fair form and if he puts in a good round of jumping he will be hard to beat. Curtins Hill rates the main danger on his latest second behind Tel Tale but all his best efforts have come on a much faster surface and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Gumley Gale is another worthy of respect on his best form but he has ran as if in the handicappers grip of late so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Another Raleagh has conditions to suit and could run well at a price but he is far from consistent and in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Ile de Paris.
