In depth

Verdict

Neil Mulholland's string is in fine form and The Young Master should go well for the yard despite the steadier of top weight, albeit offset by the 5lb claim of the talented Conor Shoemark who partnered the gelding to success last time against the in-form Brass Monkey. It is reasonable to assume there is more to come from the four-year-old but CRUISING BYE receives narrow preference. The Bowen charge progressed nicely through the summer months and looks the one to beat with the proviso that the rains stay away. Midnight Mustang has place possibilities while any money for Sonoftheking would be interesting with the Hobbs team in such good form. He initially looked a promising type and it's far too early to write him off yet, especially in this grade.
