In depth

Verdict

Midnight Midge came good over fences last season but stablemate GINGERBRED may have more scope. Only five, the latter was hating the heavy ground when falling behind Moorland Rambler over hurdles at this track back in January but won on good to soft next time, despite losing a shoe. He is potentially well treated on his chasing bow and Surtitle could be another one to follow over fences. Maninsane won at Huntingdon and Southwell last season while Petticoat Lucy created a favourable impression at Newton Abbot in the spring.
