In depth

Formwatch

Yquem (IRE) progressed nicely from points to score comfortably at Newton Abbot under rules recently. He can handle today's ground and despite this race being a lot tougher than his latest victory he has done nothing wrong and deserves this chance. He gets the nod in what is a very competitive race which features the most likely danger in Here Comes Henry. He progressed from being a prolific pointer to finish third in a highly competitive hunter chase at Aintree last time out. A reproduction of that form would be good enough to win here but that was a hard race in very testing conditions and today's race may just come too soon. Wandering Light won a decent race at Haydock last time following a lengthy break. That was a good run but the bounce theory suggests that he may run a bit flat on his second run from an absence. Newton Point has been in good form in hunter chases and ran well at Newbury last time and is closely matched with Mr Dow Jones on that form; both should be ones for the short-list today.
