Verdict

This looks a modest maiden and NIGHT OF GLORY will probably be a short-priced favourite. Andrew Balding’s four-year-old was third behind the useful Sussex Ranger on his hurdling debut at Sandown and has won on the all-weather since. He was placed on heavy going on the Flat last year so should handle the surface. Solstice Twilight hinted at ability in bumpers and is surely better than he showed at Fontwell last month while Cappaway has a nice pedigree for jumping. Winning pointer Sergeant Brody was fourth on his hurdles bow at Leicester but that was more than a year ago.
