Verdict

After a slow start to the autumn, Emma Lavelle's string appears to have turned a corner and it would be no surprise to see CAULFIELDS VENTURE do a lot better today. He gets little respite form the handicapper but is only a pound higher than when second at Kempton in April and the stable won this last year. Adrenalin Flight beat the selection at Fontwell in May but is now 8lb worse off. Dursey Sound is 7lb higher than when winning narrowly at Warwick last month and Danandy has gone up 9lb since scoring at Stratford in July. Border Breaker's jumping is still a cause for concern but Fruity O'Rooney is capable of giving a bold sight when allowed an uncontested lead, though isn't getting any younger.
