Verdict

Philip Hobbs has trained two of the three previous winners but Tidal Flow carries a double penalty for earlier successes. He still has to come into the reckoning if improving for the longer trip in first-time headgear but the less exposed GEORDIE B is just preferred. The latter opened his account with a victory over today’s trip at Lingfield when beating a subsequent dual winner and should have the measure of these on that form. Bumper winner Little Jack has yet to figure over timber while No Hidden Charges ended last year with a double between the flags and has undergone wind surgery since. Dontbitedabait is related to point-to-point winners and makes his racecourse debut in the McManus colours.
