Verdict

Ballinvarrig and Long John are both previous winners of this contest so have to go on the short-list again. But CASTARNIE has a first and a second to his name here over 3m and is fancied to handle this drop in distance with Noel Fehily taking over the reins from a conditional. Dance Floor King hinted at a revival over shorter here last month and has been dropped another 4lb while Allow Dallow is usually thereabouts, though has managed just one win in 18 career starts.
