A huge field considering the prize money on offer. Vin Rouge was only fifth when Tally's Son held off BAHTIYAR at Stratford in August. The latter should reverse that form here and his saddle slipped when pulled up last month. Happy Company was second in a seller here in April and won subsequently at Fontwell but has finished tailed off in both starts since. Pittsburg has been in good form but largely over fences, though is preferred to an out-of-sorts Gerard Mentor. The returning Lady Valentine may be best of the rest unless a wind operation has revived Turpin Gold.
