Verdict

Gone Too Far won this last year and races off the same mark but subsequent form left much to be desired. David Pipe also runs Purple 'n Gold and he looks the stable pick with Tom Scudamore riding. Gowanauthat rattled up a five-timer last summer and was only beaten a neck at Fontwell last month while Lemon's Gent has slipped further down the weights since his second at Plumpton. Ink Master has only gone up 4lb for his win at Chepstow but, in an open race, we’ll take a chance on TEMPESTATEFLORESCO. He’s only won once for Colin Tizzard so far but is on a fair mark and is probably a bit more straightforward than most of these.
