Verdict

A poor turnout, but that won't worry Ian Williams, who looks to have found the ideal opportunity for Hirapour to follow up his recent win. A high-class handicapper on the flat, he took a while to get off the mark over hurdles, but encountering fast ground for the first time at Ludlow last week saw a much improved display. It is no surprise to see him turning out under a penalty, for he will surely have more too do in the future. Correct And Right also showed her liking for a fast surface when landing the odds at Warwick. That wasn't much of a race and she has more to do in this. My Bold Boyo, the winner of a couple of races here last Autumn, will be all the better for his recent outing and must have a chance of sorts off a mark 3lbs lower than when last successful.
