Verdict

Roalco De Farges has already been placed at Wincanton and Chepstow but gives the impression he may find this trip on the sharp side. Switched Off has to go on the short-list despite having been put up 5lb since running Shalambar to three-quarters of a length in a first-time visor at Warwick last month, while Come Out Firing produced his best run so far this season when second at Hereford. Black Phantom and Annimation could both be given a chance on their best form but this looks a good opportunity for BACCALAUREATE to bounce back to form. Very well handicapped on his win in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham just over a year ago, the five-year-old will be all the better for last month's sixth at Market Rasen where he was eased once his chance had gone.
