ARTHUR MC BRIDE was in good form in staying races on the Flat over the summer, winning at Goodwood. It's a while since he ran over hurdles but he'll enjoy the give in the ground and is probably on a decent mark. Champagne To Go is unlikely to remain a maiden over hurdles for much longer and looks a danger but David John's recent good form has been over fences. Western Wave has scope over this sort of trip but hasn't raced since May while course winner Eddy is upped in grade. King Uther should have more to offer this season, especially when the going turns heavy, and 3m will suit Rio Bravo on breeding.
