Philip Hobbs trained the winner of this last year but his Theatre Rouge was tailed off last time at Lingfield in the race in which CARNSPINDLE finished second. Warren Greatrex’ mare has shown promise in both runs to date over hurdles and the Uttoxeter bumper winner should open her account over obstacles in a weak-looking race. Gowell has gone backwards since her debut at Fontwell a year ago and Here All Along makes her debut under Rules. Phoenix Firebird may be the pick of her stable’s two runners but that’s not saying much.
