Although 10 will go to post, it is hard to make a case for many of them and it can be narrowed down to the trio of Sammy Samba, Diletia and Compton Chick. The latter has yet to win any sort of race, either on the level or over jumps but has a squeak on her second to Lunar Crystal at Fontwell the time before last. Diletia has already picked up two wins at Exeter in October and will find this easier than the race she contested at Plumpton recently. That was over three miles plus and she will be more at home on a track she obviously likes. Sammy Samba is also a course and distance winner, and in fact won on the same two days as his main rival here. He was just collared at Ludlow, hanging to the right near the finish, but with Tony McCoy taking over, that should not be a problem. There is a doubt though over his effectiveness with cut in the ground as the hurdles course is reported to have soft patches, and with that in mind, the TEAMtalk vote goes to Diletia.
