A poor affair to set the ball rolling may go to Tizi Ouzou ahead of Governor Daniel, Timidjar and Penny's Crown. Martin Pipe continues to churn out winners here and no doubt Tizi Ouzou will be well fancied by the locals. At least at the age of four she has time on her side, and if in the same mood as when making all in a first-time visor at Taunton in March she will take some catching. The downside is that she has shown absolutely nothing in three subsequent runs, although she may well have been in need of her latest outing at Newton Abbot. She certainly has more scope than Governor Daniel who is in the twilight of his career, but the topweight was sent off as favourite when a one-paced fourth at Huntingdon last time, so his supporters have not given up on him yet. Timidjar was another that left the money in the bookies' satchels when beaten at Stratford a month ago, but he would have needed that run to put him straight and should figure somewhere, while Penny's Crown has her regular pilot on board but looks a bit high in the weights these days. It is hard to get excited about anything in this line-up but Tizi Ouzou gets the most tentative of votes.
