Some top two-milers have won this Grade 2 in the past and there is a bigger field than usual this year. Having rattled up a hat-trick earlier, Greaneteen was probably a bit unlucky in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham in March. GLOBAL CITIZEN is headstrong but is very much at home at this level and was slightly hampered when fourth in the Arkle in the spring. He would almost certainly have finished ahead of Esprit Du Large that day had the latter not fallen two out. Vision Des Flos could be well treated but didn’t get far on his reappearance at Aintree and Glen Forsa may need this but Bun Doran has plenty of class and goes well fresh. This may be too competitive for the likes of Moonlighter, Not That Fuisse and Pink Eyed Pedro.
Bun Doran (IRE) 33-1 (11-10) Led until 1st, chased winner, pushed along after 3 out, no impression before 2 out, ridden before last, lost 2nd flat, no extra, 3rd of 5, 12 3/4l behind Politologue (11-10) at Cheltenham 2m (1) sft in Mar.
Glen Forsa (IRE) 10-1 (11-7) Chased leader, led 9th, joined 3 out, headed last, lost 2nd and no extra in 3rd final 100 yards, 3rd of 12, 2 3/4l behind Oldgrangewood (10-6) at Newbury 2m 4f hcp (2) gs in Nov.
Esprit Du Large (FR) 12-1 (11-4) Held up towards rear, headway when mistake 10th, chasing leaders 3 out, soon ridden and beaten, 5th and weakening when fell 2 out, at Cheltenham 2m (1) sft in Mar.
Global Citizen (IRE) 33-1 (11-4) Held up in rear, not always fluent, hampered 10th, soon pushed along, switched right and closed 3 out, went 3rd final bend before 2 out, no impression on front pair, lost 3rd last stride, 4th of 11, 19 1/2l behind Put The Kettle On (10-11) at Cheltenham 2m (1) sft in Mar.
Greaneteen (FR) 5-1 (11-7) Raced keenly, in touch in mid-division, effort 4 out, mistake 2 out, stayed on flat, 4th of 18, 5 1/2l behind Chosen Mate (11-4) at Cheltenham 2m hcp (1) gs in Mar.

Vision Des Flos (FR) 5-1 (11-0) Held up towards rear, blundered and unseated rider 2nd, at Aintree 2m 4f hcp (1) sft in Oct.

Pink Eyed Pedro 17-2 (10-3) Ridden handy, awkward 9th, almost upsides 5 out, led before 3 out, ridden clear before 2 out, left well clear last, driven out, won at Chepstow 2m 3f hcp (2) gd in Oct beating Casablanca Mix (11-10) by 6l, 7 ran.
