        Verdict

        This looks a very modest heat but bumper winner POISONED BERRY is surely better than she showed when favourite at Newton Abbot on her hurdles bow – the trip was a legitimate excuse. Double Treasure never threatened easy winner Bagad Bihoue when second at Wincanton but there may be more to come from Resolution Bay now trying hurdles with Richard Johnson taking over the reins today. The selection's stablemate Citrus has shown little since arriving from France.
