In depth

Verdict

Placed in bumpers, American Gerry finished second here on his hurdling bow but DUBROVNIK HARRY was only a nose behind. The latter showed his inexperience on his racecourse debut but will know more today and Harry Fry’s charge is taken to reverse running with normal progress. Forever Des Long has only found one too good in four of his seven outings over timber but returns from an absence while the remainder have yet to threaten with South Mountain and Catch Me Not hurdling for the first time.
