      Verdict

      KHAZIUM started favourite on soft ground at Lingfield last time but could only manage third place, though today's rival Siouxperhero was well behind. A faster surface and first-time headgear will sharpen him up here and Pat Eddery's charge can open his account. Poetic Lord finished a modest sixth on his debut at Sandown where Captain Cardington trailed home in last place, but should improve for the experience while the newcomers Alborz and Lady Bellatrix are both related to winners and are worth noting in the betting.
