In depth

Verdict

The Bells O Peover is on a roll and Mark Johnston has wasted no time turning him out again under a penalty following Thursday's win at Pontefract. He seems sure to run well but is up against another in-form rival in SHESHA BEAR. Jonathan Portman's mare has become a standing dish over this C&D and there was no sign of her winning run coming to an end when she comfortably saw off the challenge of Mohanad here earlier in the month. Harry Bentley is a good jockey booking in this apprentices' race. Epsom Salts also has a good record here and has place prospects while Memory Lane won twice at Catterick in July and is back over her best trip. Winning Spark may be the pick of the remainder.
