The Gay Kellaway-trained Labrett is fancied to round off the day on a high note for Frankie Dettori and the six-year-old is selected over Spitfire Bob, My Galliano and the locally-trained Perfidious, who is one to watch out for if supported. However, Labrett has been knocking on the door in his last two outings and is only 3lb higher than he was for his recent success at this course. The step up in trip is of slight concern but as My Galliano is only likely to set a modest pace with Spitfire Bob, the distance of the race should not be a problem. Dettori is a past master at judging the pace around here and the Italian's racing clock is taken to get Labrett home.
