Dundalk winner Moldowney has joined Luca Cumani and his sixth at Ascot last summer suggests he can be competitive at this level. Brockwell showed progressive form last year until beaten off today's mark at Newmarket in September but it's hard to shake off the feeling that recent Doncaster runner-up Beyond Conceit remains a shade high in the weights. Novirak won a novelty race for jump jockeys on the Flat over track and trip last season but is 5lb higher today while Scatter Dice and Perennial have something to prove off their current marks. Recent hurdles winner Kuda Huraa could figure but MAWAAKEF is preferred. The latter went close over 1m1f here last year and today's longer distance is no problem judged on his latest second at Kempton. John Jenkins' charge gets the vote to go one better in this.
