Cello can quickly go one better here to open his account, with Desert Crystal, Moscow Blue and Resplendent King out to stop him. Cello shaped like a sure-fire future winner when just failing to overhaul the odds-on River Treat at Warwick nine days ago, and as that was over seven furlongs, the step up to a mile should do the trick. He will have no problem staying the distance, with stamina on his dam's side and he will handle the ground as well. Like Richard Hannon, John Gosden has his team in good order so Moscow Blue should be capable of stepping up on a quiet introduction at Newmarket last July. Resplendent King last ran on the all-weather and is already looking exposed, but in turn makes more appeal than Margery Daw for a place. Cello has conditions in his favour though and will be hard to beat.
