        Verdict

        Rita Rana went close at Brighton last time looking to end her maiden tag with a below par Mrembo well beaten. The latter had earlier finished ahead of Rochebrune when second at Bath but NONSUCH LAD gets another chance. Jim Boyles’ charge came up short in the soft going at Goodwood last time but was beaten less than a length on fast ground at Salisbury before that and a repeat should see him back in the mix. Ask Peter may prove best of the rest.
