TAPIS LIBRE was third under Joanna Mason in a valuable ladies' race at York last month. The winner was fourth in the Old Newton Cup on Saturday and the second went on to finish second in the Cumberland Plate so the form has a solid look about it and Jacqueline Coward's northern raider can return home with the spoils. Bayan Kasirga has also travelled down from North Yorkshire but a bigger danger may be Saint Honore. Serena Brotherton's experience will help the Newbury second while Sureness could easily bounce back from a poor run at Goodwood. My Lord only won a claimer at Windsor but has a good strike rate and Chepstow third Sunday Royal can't be ignored.
