Verdict

Mark Johnston has a strong hand in the three-year-old middle-distance colts' division and Systematic has proved a most progressive performer having rattled up a hat-trick of wins with a bold front running style. The son of Rainbow Quest has been raised 8lb for his latest York success but may be open to further improvement and will be hard to pass. Lingo was a most impressive winner at Pontefract last month (now 12lb higher) and was far from disgraced when second behind runaway winner Charley Bates at Chester while Crow Road appreciated the step up to this trip when scoring at Leicester and is another to consider under a 5lb penalty.
