Mr Scaramanga is a pound lower than when third over course and distance at the end of May but disappointed last time at Sandown last month, though eased in grade. Ashazuri has won twice this year but is edging towards a stiff mark. Hackbridge has finished second in all three starts this term but continues to edge up the weights. Allegiant has valuable course experience but STATUARIO was in front at this trip at Thirsk on his return to the Flat so is probably worth another chance.
