        Verdict

        HESPERIS returned an easy winner at Yarmouth on last month’s handicap debut. Her ability to handle soft ground has to be taken on trust but Hughie Morrison’s filly can land a weak contest if doing so. Scarborough Castle placed at Kempton on his debut for a new yard while Reeceltic won on the all-weather back in April. Dark Motive drops back down in trip after a better effort over 1m6f and Tanglewood Tales has been thereabouts at Brighton recently.
