Aroha had 10 races for Brian Meehan and was placed six times, five of them in the runners-up spot. Dedillon has also been second in her last three starts over the track and trip and had Stalingrad and Shore not far behind earlier this month and the latter was only just beaten when stepping up in trip next time. MEISHAR was an 80/1 chance when making a belated debut behind Ballydoyle's Horoscope on testing ground at the Curragh 10 days ago but belied his odds with a cracking effort. The winner is on his way to the 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown so the form looks strong enough for this. Mudawy showed plenty of potential in four starts at the Curragh and was staying on over 7f when last seen in September so has to be respected but St Clerans disappointed in her later starts and makes her debut on the surface.
