Mairead Kate started odds-on for a Listowel 7f maiden in June and though not quite getting home she should have strengthened up in the interim. Plum Perfect was an unlucky loser when beaten a short-head over the track and trip in November and started favourite on a return visit but failed to fire, which wasn't her form. ANNIE B made a promising debut last month and was well supported a week later but couldn't get to Paris Duvet though she travelled well for most of the race. That may just have come too soon and compensation awaits. It's difficult to get excited about the remainder though Basrah Breeze ran quite well on her all-weather debut here three weeks ago.
