Verdict
It's a surprise to find Heavy Weight racing over this trip as he followed his victory over a mile with an even better effort when stepped up to 1m3f. This is a big drop in distance and he may not have the pace to see off the progressive RUSSIAN SOUL. Mick Halford's charge has had very little racing for his age but loves this track. He had today's rival Captain Joy behind when scoring over a mile in September and only just failed to hold off Joe Eile over the C&D last month. That race was run in record equalling time and there's more to come from him. He holds Elusive Ridge, who has won five times here, on his latest run and though the latter probably prefers further he had the pace to finish runner-up over 6f last time. Luisant is a light of former days but has raced in much better company so don't be surprised by a better effort.
