CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT had raced off 86 in the UK and was down to 52 when scoring here in November. He was 5lb higher when completing a double a week later with a short-head defeat of Tribal Path. They meet on the same terms again and the winner, who looked to have a bit in hand, can confirm the form and take this. Pick Your Battle stepped up to a mile last week and just held on after leading at the furlong mark. He's 5lb higher but should have no problems with the shorter trip. Relarita, who finished a close third after attempting to make all, should be even better suited and as that was only her fifth start she has to be respected but fifth-placed Sister Slew looks held.
