King Lenox was beaten a nose after attempting to make most over the extended 1m2f on his debut on this track and started favourite for a similar race last week but couldn't sustain the gallop and was headed over 1f out. CLONARD ABBEY is 0-16 but has twice finished runner-up over the track and trip and champion apprentice Gavin Ryan takes the ride. He finished around four lengths in front of Stay With Me when beaten a neck a month ago, though the latter did much better when beaten a head next time. Tham Luang had dropped to his lowest mark when beaten three lengths by Dame Rapide over the course and distance and Sam Ewing's claim is a plus while Sand Castle made a promising debut on the surface a couple of weeks ago, easily his best run to date. The selection's stablemate Quiet Desire also showed much-improved form when headed on the line over 1m2f on Monday
