Balmont Blast appeared suited to a mile when landing a maiden last month but he was in the lead at this trip and is back to his decent juvenile form. Plough Boy has plenty of strong form though mostly over further and is much better handicapped on Turf. Shabra Emperor has a poor strike-rate but is running well at present and might have beaten Tom Dooley last week but for a slow start. Robin's Choice hasn't had much experience but won a maiden over a mile here early last month before just failing to hold on over the same trip on her handicap debut. Dropping down a furlong won't do any harm and she is on the shortlist but Pepparpot, a winning hurdler, scored over 1m2f last month and will probably find this too short. MYSTICAL PAST has ben making steady progress before producing a superb effort to land a course and distance maiden last week from tonight's rival Cutting Corners. Not surprisingly the assessor has had his say with a 12lb rise but Willie Martin's filly still looks better than a 71-rated performer and can go in again.
