MALACANNE was well supported for a 7f handicap a fortnight ago and was rushed into the lead in the straight but caught close home. He should have no problems staying the extra and still looks reasonably treated. Jazz Forever had Rio Largo and Tabuk behind when a close fifth in a maiden over this trip the same day. He didn't get the best of runs and is respected on his handicap debut. Pub Talk, a winner over 7f here, was narrowly beaten over this trip next time before dropping back to 5f and just failing to concede 12lb to the winner. Colin Keane takes over and he holds La Tulipe Noire on that penultimate run though the latter made obvious strides when landing a maiden next time.
