Keith Quinn was allowed to poach a big lead on board Stoichkhov in an apprentices' race here last week and, though he was tying up in the closing stages, Michael Cleary's gelding still had more than two-and-a-half lengths to spare over third Anner Queen with Noverre Princess fourth and Rockview Emperor and King Of Oriel further behind. Similar tactics will probably be employed in this but he does have a 5lb penalty and is unlikely to be given as much rope this evening. BADGER DALY has a wide draw so Colin Keane may have to bide his time but the eight-year-old looks to be a fair mark at present and can come out on top. Merry Mast refused to race here last month but would have a chance on earlier form.
