Paul Deegan has won this twice in recent years and RED IVY (NAP) has a fine chance of adding to the tally. A promising debut at the Curragh was followed by a decent effort in a Naas Listed contest and if taking to the surface will take some beating. Sors wasn't far behind the useful Cappella Sansevero over 5f at the Curragh but couldn't cope when tackling this trip at Naas. Indian Tomahawk appeared to find 7f stretching his stamina at Leopardstown after a better run over this trip at Naas while Rapid Eye looked in need of the experience at Roscommon where she faded in the closing stages over the 7f trip. Ostatnia was staying on strongly over the minimum trip at Down Royal and with the extra furlong certain to suit should be there at the finish.
