Twistsandturns has won four races over further but hasn't run over this trip for over two years. Virile gained his first success over 5f at Wolverhampton last month then just failed to hold on over this trip on a return visit. Acroleina has been in consistent form most of the year and deserved her victory at Laytown in September after which she's had a nice break. National Service has been running well over 7f but one victory in 25 career starts is a poor return. Tribal Path's narrow defeat by Captain Midnight here a couple of weeks ago suggests he's ready to win this but that was over 7f and he's never raced over this trip in 24 starts. Breezolini went to Redcar three weeks ago and just failed to catch Posh Bounty over this trip, though she's yet to reach a place in five all-weather starts. TITHONUS followed a very good run behind the in-form Hatch Hall over hurdles with another behind Hatton Cross here and Denis Hogan's charge is taken to land a competitive opener.
