Fleetfootsoldier had shown a bit more promise here in December and attracted some support when landing a one mile handicap last week. Distillate was running well on Turf last summer without winning and gained reward on just his third start here three weeks ago. However, the maiden Bright Dick was beaten less than a length and will be 4lb better off while MEMORIAL VERSE was also close behind. The latter was having just her fourth start and making her handicap debut so looks the one to take from the race. Magnanimous Mehmus was well supported in two starts at the backend of last year and wasn't beaten far in either.
