GORDON LORD BYRON can add to his winning tally. He has returned from Dubai, where he performed with credit without quite hitting the heights, and won a Group 2 at the Curragh in July and has scored three times around here in a long and successful career. Grey Danube won a handicap over 7f in January but isn't the most consistent and finished last on a return visit a month later. Patrick beat Geological just over a length last month but then ran poorly when favourite behind Togoville, who has since disappointed over the minimum trip. Ostatnia wins on all kinds of surfaces and ran a tremendous race when a close third in a Listed contest at Tipperary in August before just failing to concede a stone to Tithonius here the following month. She's never won first time back so could just need this. Newmarket-based Pearl Spectre, a winner at Lingfield earlier this month, ran well under a big weight here last week though it's another UK raider Sign of The Kodiac, who ran in Listed company last time, who may prove more of a threat.
