Mai O'higgins showed nothing in two starts on testing ground but it was a different story when she came here last month and made most in a 7f maiden. Carrigeen Prince has never been placed on Turf but this is his surface as he's shown in recent weeks with two victories and a narrow defeat over the course and distance. Arlecchino's Rock gained his first ever victory on his 17th start for Mark Usher at Chelmsford but this looks a bit tougher though his new trainer will find a race for him. Severus was sent to Wolverhampton to open his all-weather account which he did from a subsequent winner while Dance Alone also gained his first success on an artificial surface over 7f here last week though that was the furthest he'd ever been. Ecoeye landed a handicap on heavy ground at Roscommon and has finished runner-up three times on similar going. He's improved since two early runs on this track and looks a threat to all. SHANNON SOUL has only won once but has generally been consistent at a slightly higher level and the assessor has dropped him just enough to give him a chance here. New trainer Richard O'Brien has his first runner with UK import Alans Pride but he's badly treated under the race conditions.
