ZAOFU is belatedly reaching his potential and was having only his fourth start when comfortably landing a course and distance maiden two weeks ago. He isn't exactly thrown in for his handicap debut but has more to offer and can complete a quick double. Rock On Dandy completed a double over 1m4f and the handicapper looked to have hold of him on his hat-trick attempt, a remark that also applies to Tropic Thunder, who won twice over the track and trip before just failing to overcome a 7lb higher mark. Shannon Soul has run really well from tonight's mark on his last two starts and Pat Smullen takes the ride again while Adieux gained his second track victory under a huge weight last month and a 5lb rise shouldn't pose too much of a problem. Poitin won this two years ago and is just 1lb higher than her last victory in the summer.
