STAR GIRLS AALMAL finished first past in a barrier trial here which persuaded connections to start her off in a Listed contest on this track where she got no sort of run. She's obviously well thought of and takes a big drop in class. Brostaigh also won a barrier trial and has raced in strong company subsequently including in a Listed contest here so he looks a threat alongside Trent, who started odds-on for his debut over 7f here last month. Ger Lyons' colt couldn't quite get to grips with the surprise winner that day but will have learnt plenty.
