Excesso Velocidad is the only course winner having scored over the trip in November before stepping up in class and finishing fourth over the minimum. His young rider reduces his massive weight significantly but he still has to concede 11lb to HAVANA NOTION (NAP) and that may prove beyond him. He was having his first start for John Feane when fourth in a strong maiden over the trip in December and the first two have both won again. Distillate ran 13 times as a two-year-old without winning but was rarely beaten far and ran well on her only start on this track. American In Paris has her first start for Denis Hogan and may prove best of the remainder.
