Itsalonglongroad landed a course and distance claimer in November and has since won over fences. Simon Torrens again utilises his claim and John McConnell's charge can get into contention. He finished in front of DRAKENSBERG in that November event but the latter has been running so well subsequently that he can defy a 6lb penalty for Friday's victory. Ballycaines and Gougane Barra occupied the minor places behind shock winner Flylikeananeagle over the trip last time but Colin Keane's mount got no sort of run and should reverse the form. Galway winner Darkened has never raced on an artificial surface.
