New Direction started his winning run when beating a huge field at the Curragh and has subsequently won over this trip and shorter on this track. He's up another 9lb here so this is obviously tougher. Black Label has an even bigger rise to contend with having gone up 10lb for a comprehensive victory last month. Bulgadin Lady scored over 1m2f at the Curragh in September and was having her first start over this trip when scoring with a bit in hand last week. She's up 5lb but looks capable of another big run. Sharjah made a bold bid to make all over 1m2f last week and battled back when headed. But Brokopondo and SONG OF LOVE were close behind and the latter looks the one to take out of the race as he was staying on at the finish. Carried is on a lower mark than when last successful here in March and is another to consider in an open handicap.
