In depth

Verdict

Knockgraffon Lad went up 8lb for scoring over 1m3f here a fortnight ago but it made no difference as he stormed to victory over a mile last week. He's up a massive 9lb this time and that could prove enough to prevent a hat-trick. WORD FOR WORD, runner-up in the first of those events, is now 15lb better off and looks set to gain his second success over the C&D. Mutasareb gained a shock success over the C&D last month but proved it was no fluke with an excellent run two weeks ago and looks a big threat to all with further progress likely. First Friday is capable of better and this longer trip should be in his favour.
