In depth

Verdict

Always Waitin caught the eye on his debut at Cork and didn't get the clearest of runs here next time so should be thereabouts. Ferrybank has improved with each run and should be suited by stepping up in trip while Uno Miligre looked a likely future winner when beaten a short-head by Alex D on heavy going at Limerick but hasn't made the expected progress. Tashkhan is a newcomer to note in the market after a barrier trial here though it's ISLE OF SARK who catches the eye as he's a $100,000 son of Kitten's Joy out of a mare who has produced winners with her first three foals. He landed a barrier trial here in July and that experience should stand him in good stead. Clew Bay is a half-sister to a couple of useful winners and is another having had an outing in a barrier trial though the stable are also represented by the experienced Cooper's Hawk, who has been racing in strong maidens on Turf.
