In depth

Verdict

Inishmot Duchess very nearly carried her 5lb extra for last month's victory when caught on the line by Pencil Hill a fortnight ago. She still looks well handicapped and must be a threat to all from her low draw. Ian Brennan was on board that night but takes the ride here on Cookie Crumbles, who gained her first ever success on her 24th career start over an extra furlong last time. PIPERS CHOICE was just over 2l behind Inishmot Duchess and Like Magic last month and, as that was his first start since May and is equally well drawn as the winner, he gets the vote to gain his first success. Sophies Echo has only won once, when sent over this trip for the only time back in 2011. She's been racing over much further but was in the lead at this trip when just caught over 7f last month and looks well enough treated to get into the firing line.
